What to expect at the counter
Most Autodeposit transfers confirm within seconds or a few minutes. However, a sender's bank may hold a first transfer to a new recipient for a security review. This can take 30 minutes or longer. Because of this, e-Transfer works well for invoices, service counters, farm gates, and market stalls. It is not tap-to-pay, and we will not claim that it is.
